About Our Team
To assist as many people as possible in attaining the highest quality of health they seek and deserve through effective natural healing methods thus minimizing the use of drugs and surgery.
At 10 years old I was plagued with severe migraine headaches. They were so debilitating that each attack would put me to bed for two days causing me to miss 30 to 40 days of school per year. Medication just made me feel worse due to its side effects. So at 19 years old out of desperation I gave chiropractic a try. “PRAISE THE LORD” I finally had relief of the intense pain and pressure that haunted me for all those years. The quality of my life changed forever.
An answer to Prayers
As a young man I was unsure as to my career path. After reading many positive inspirational books and much prayer I decided to leave that choice in God’s hands. During an office visit with my chiropractor at that time, he spoke in great length of the benefits and value of chiropractic care. He then looked me in the eyes and asked if I had ever considered chiropractic as a profession. As I thought about an answer to his question my body was suddenly overwhelmed by an uncontrollable rush of heat and chills. It was at that moment that I knew my prayers had been answered.
I received my BS degree from Pennsylvania State University and my doctors degree from Life Chiropractic College in Marietta Georgia in 1981. Studies consisted of anatomy, human physiology, X-ray analysis, chiropractic manipulation techniques, diagnosis, clinical studies, and patient care in Life College’s public clinic. Extra-chiropractic studies consist of 100 hours in applied kinesiology and 36 hours of additional x-ray studies. After graduation I returned to southwestern Pennsylvania to set up private practice in White Oak.
I believe the education process never stops. To stay up-to-date on the latest health, nutrition, and chiropractic techniques, I make it a point to pursue advanced training courses. I have over 1000 hours of postgraduate work in orthopedics, nutrition and detoxification, applied kinesiology, extremity and cranial manipulation, radiology, acupuncture, rehabilitation therapy and spinal decompression.

Compassionate, Quality Care
I am blessed to witness miracles in my office every day. With our unique diagnostic approach and specific treatments, we have been able to find and correct the causes of many structural and health related problems that other practitioners both chiropractic and medical could not.
If God gave you a gift wouldn’t you cherish it? Well, our body is his gift to us. It is the temple that houses our soul and must be nurtured and cared for. I take great pains to care for not only my body but also my family, friends and patients. I get adjusted frequently, eat whole foods, always take my supplements, and get plenty of exercise. I am spoiled by feeling good and I want to take every step necessary to stay healthy. Only God knows how long we’ll be on this planet so why not choose to have the highest quality of life possible which is achieved through natural chiropractic health care.
“I’m committed to bringing you the compassionate, gentle and quality care you deserve. That’s why I make it a point to take the time to listen to you and your concerns. I believe in creating a trusting partnership with my patients. I want to get to know you and your family so you are as comfortable with your treatments as you are with me. Give us a call or send us an e-mail so we can help you take the first step towards better health.”
A doctor who will listen? A doctor who will treat the whole person? A doctor who will not only care for you but about you?
I came to be a Chiropractor through a personal experience at this office. Dr. Consales treated me not only using Chiropractic methods but also introduced me to how the body can optimally function when provided with the correct nutrients and how a healthy lifestyle can affect your overall health. These aspects of treatment, prayer, speaking with other Chiropractors ultimately helped me make the decision to become a Chiropractor.
I earned my Doctorate of Chiropractic degree (DC) from the National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, IL as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology. Prior to Chiropractic school, I attended Penn State University earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise and Sports Science. While at National, I developed a strong interest in anatomy, physiology and nutrition helping me to understand how our bodies function. I continue to learn each day from my patients, as well as through continuing education seminars and workshops. I attend seminars that will increase my knowledge in Chiropractic technique and healthy lifestyle modifications so that I may better help those seeking my care.
I utilize a treatment method called Applied Kinesiology (AK). AK employs manual muscle testing to evaluate body function through the dynamics of the musculoskeletal system. When receiving treatment, I find areas of weakness/dysfunction and apply the therapy that will benefit you the most. You may receive specific joint manipulation or mobilization, myofascial therapy, rehabilitation therapy, cranial techniques, temporamandibular (TMJ) joint procedures, acupuncture meridian therapy, clinical nutrition, dietary management, spinal decompression, various reflex procedures, gait (how you walk) and posture analysis.
The main goal for each patient is a return to optimal health and wellness. This may be achieved immediately or in steps. The speed of recovery depends upon the person receiving the treatment. We are all uniquely different and do not all require the same treatment plan as the next patient. That is where AK comes in to distinguish what treatment method you need to function at a higher level.
Applied Kinesiology is now known as Professional Applied Kinesiology (PAK™) to distinguish those with training and those without. To be considered a Professional Applied Kinesiologist (PAK™), a person must be a Doctor licensed to diagnose. They must also satisfy continuing education credit requirements as well as prove on an ongoing basis that they are the top in their field utilizing specific muscle testing for true proper evaluation of functional imbalance. I have been a member of the International College of Applied Kinesiology (www.icakusa.com) since my first semester in Chiropractic school. I have taken over 500 hours of coursework with many great instructors including the late Dr. George Goodheart, and the following: Drs. David Leaf, Robert Rakowski, Robert Blaich, Timothy Francis, Walter Schmitt, Cecelia Duffy and Alan Zatkin.
I am married to my beautiful and wonderful wife, Tammy. When I am not in the office you will find me spending time with Tammy, outside doing something, anything as long as it is outside (in the warmer months), gardening, exercising, golfing, reading uplifting and educational books/articles and singing in the choir! No, I do not sing for patients. I also enjoy speaking to groups concerning health issues and benefits of Chiropractic.
I receive Chiropractic care on a monthly basis and more if needed because I believe these treatments help me maintain my own health and wellness. I lead a healthy lifestyle through my diet, exercise and involvement in my church and surrounding myself with positive and uplifting people.
